Authorised Consular Officers at the Australian Embassy, Doha provide notarial services by appointment only. Fees apply for Notarial Services.

Please allow two standard business working days for collection of an authentication and an apostille.
In general, authorities in Qatar require Australian documents to be authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Australia and the Embassy of Qatar in Australia before they can be accepted. You will need to confirm the requirements for your document with the Qatar authorities before making an appointment for notarial services at the Australian Embassy, Doha.
The Qatari government can require a police clearance to issue a residency permit. Australian police clearances are issued by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in Canberra or by state police. Application forms can be downloaded from the AFP website.

Booking a Notarial Appointment
The public counter is open from 8:30am - 12:00pm from Sunday to Wednesday. To schedule an appointment please click on the Book Appointment link below.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) uses third-party software (Setmore) to manage the Embassy's appointments. Your personal information (including your name and contact details) will be collected by DFAT via Setmore to book your appointment and for related purposes. By proceeding with this booking, you are consenting to the collection of this information by Setmore on DFAT’s behalf for these purposes. If this information is not collected, DFAT’s ability to arrange your appointment will be limited. Your personal information will be handled by Setmore in accordance with Setmore’s Privacy Policy, and by DFAT in accordance with DFAT’s Privacy Policy.
Fees and Payment
The Australian Embassy accepts applicable fees in Qatari Riyals by Mastercard, Visa and debit card only (cash, cheques and other currencies will not be accepted).
If your card is in a different currency, the Qatari Riyals amount will be converted to your card's currency by your card issuer at their foreign exchange rate.
