Jonathan Muir
Biography
Jonathan Muir took up his appointment as Ambassador to Qatar in July 2019. He is a career diplomat, who most recently served as Director, People Smuggling and Human Trafficking Taskforce in Canberra. He has previously served overseas in Indonesia. He holds a Master of International Affairs in International Security from Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the Queensland University of Technology. He is married with one adult daughter and two young sons.
